Clean For 70 Years

Another find which decorates my bathroom now: Soap of Kirkman Soap Co. NYC and of Colgate-Palmolive Co. Both products were on shelves in the 40ies - and the paper wrap is still intact!

Pouder Powers The Beauty

I found this wonderful powder box in an old pharmacy in Vienna. The tissue paper reads: "Poudre compacte - L. Leichner Berlin" and underneath is solid pink powder. The inside of the lid features a small mirror. The outside of the box reads: "Powder in solid form". This is such a lovely piece of package design and appealing typography. The box measures 4cm in height and 4,5 cm in diameter. It dates around 1920 and is fully intact. Info about Ludwig Leichner Cosmetics: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leichner

I promise you...

"I promise you" is a collage I did some years ago. A heaven full of meat, an allegory of a secure life standard. According to conservative role models this alluring promise is given by the man, the hunter and provider.

Sweet Home Vienna

My little Photoshop-Embroidery in between. In the end there were 40 people filling my little appartment.

The Quick and The Dead rock!

I came across this concert poster designed by Wes Wilson in 1966 and rebuilt it in Photoshop and Illustrator. I like the amorphous lettering popular at that time which asks for some decoding efforts from the viewer (or some drug consumption). In this case the focus is on the skull picture which in turn induces to read the text flowing over it. Love & Peace!
